Venture Corporate Finance is pleased to have supported the shareholders in the recent investment by Foresight into VS Group, a Lancashire-based provider of IT and cyber security services.
Founded in 2012 by Kevin Penman and Jason Savion, VS Group has established itself as a trusted technology partner to businesses and charities across the region. The investment marks the first transaction from Foresight’s third North West SME Fund and will support the company’s next phase of growth.
As part of the transaction, VS Group has acquired Liverpool-based IT Managed Services Provider, The PC Support Group, for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition increases the group’s customer base by more than 200 organisations and represents the first step in a wider buy-and-build strategy.
The investment will support both organic growth and future acquisitions, with further opportunities expected across the North and Midlands as VS Group continues to expand its presence within the managed services and cyber security sectors.
To support the business through its next stage of development, experienced IT services executive Iain O’Kane has joined the board as Chair. Iain previously led Xperience Group through significant growth before securing private equity investment, bringing valuable sector experience to the business.
